Back to school: Another remarkable event this term was our Back-to-School project, sponsored by Eden Church. Many children received all they needed for their school: Back-packs and stationary. The thanksgiving afterwards has been overwhelming from carers and children.
We currently only have a handful of children in our child-sponsorship programme and therefore this Back to School project is an unspeakable blessing. When we evaluated the programme, our initial thought was that we “missed the mark” but the response from children committing their lives to the Lord in seeing Him supply their needs through the church, has been amazing.
An amount of R86,000 was spent on school supplies, back packs and food for the day.
